2/8/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Monday

Well, did you survive your Super Bowl party?  I think one of the most difficult things when you're trying to eat healthy is social gatherings.  The temptation to "graze" the appetizer table is too great.  Luckily, we decided to opt out of the one we were supposed to go to.  Every year my aunt throws a huge bash and the amount of deliciously unhealthy food is ridiculous!  She has everything from wings (which I love!) to spinach dip, buffalo dip, sheet cake, cookies, and every other dip imaginable.  Have I mentioned that foods that you can dip are my favorite?  No, we did not choose not to go just because I didn't want to be tempted by poor food choices.  Actually I was having a lot of endometriosis pain so I decided it would probably be better to "lay low" on the couch.  Hopefully if you did go to a party you were able to choose just a teaspoon of each item and make that your dinner.  Did you make sure to still have your veggie with your snacks?  If you did slip up, oh well, work out extra hard today and eat extra healthy!  You'll work it right back off in no time!
